Flat Sun Society Presents: Makers of Spirit Tonight
A music video put together on a weekend spent in the mountains of Santa Cruz, Flat Sun Sun Society was a pleasure to witness and spend time with. You can feel the connection between each member of the band in their ability to improvise and connect in a perfectly rhythmic cadence.
Shot handheld and manually focused in single take fashion.
Redwood Tapes with Emmet Tuttle
“Emmet Tuttle (ET) is a 23 year old Oakland Native, who found himself in the redwoods of Santa Cruz to study psychology at UCSC. Living outdoors for most of his life, ET thrived off the grid, working insaw mills and jamming all night by the campfire. Around these parts, ET is a legend of sorts for his distict tone and endless repertoire of blue grass tunes that turn any night into nectar. We caught him on a whim 2 hours before a plane ride, and with little to no heads up ET put down 3 originals back to back toback. Keep an ear out for the cryptic wisdom woven within the lyrics of these mountain blues. We present to you Emmet Tuttle”

Big Fritz Brews: Powerized Tap Handle
I’d been wanting to make a tap handle for @bigfritzbrews for quite a while, and when I had the idea to model one after a baseball bat/beer can I was more than excited to take on the challenge. I bought a nice chunk of maple wood off eBay, measured all of the dimensions of the can as well as an old Dave Winfield game used bat my dad got when he was batboy for a day back in 1976. I drew up a design modeled after the Louisville Slugger “powerized” bats on Photoshop and transferred it onto the wood.
I knew it would be a challenge to get the dimensions right but I took my time and ended up getting it pretty much spot on. Seeing a project start as a simple pencil sketch then turn into a finished product like this brings me more joy than I can explain. I learned a lot along the way and couldn’t wait to get it in Fritz’s garage to start pouring some beers!
Throw-away Nature
If you’ve ever had the “this can’t be real” feeling when you come across unpredictable moments in nature, then you know the exact feeling that I will forever cherish, and have attempted to re-create with this short. I opted for a comic book style filter to represent the juxtaposition of “wild nature” in a setting where nature is so heavily impacted by human technologies.

A deeper Breath
Somewhat of a compilation of many of my favorite nature clips captured over the years. The goal was to achieve a sense of nature “breathing” cohesively throughout the piece.
